How much does a website cost?
We don’t have a price list, because every site is different. Tell us what you need and we’ll send you a fixed price in writing by the next business day. Quotes are free, and the price only changes if the job does.
The price mostly depends on how many pages you need, whether you sell online or take bookings, whether we write the words for you, and anything that connects to other systems.
What will I pay after it’s built?
Your domain name (usually about NZ$25–$45 a year, paid to the registrar) and hosting. Hosting with us is a small monthly cost that covers minor updates. It’s listed in your quote and you can cancel any month. You’re also welcome to host it yourself.
Can customers book online or see my prices?
Yes. We set it up with tools like Square, Fresha, Calendly or Cliniko, and it’s part of your fixed price. If you already use one, your existing booking links keep working. You don’t need an app for it.
How long does it take?
Most websites go live in two to four weeks. That assumes we have your words and photos in the first week. If you need help with those, we’ll build it into the timeline. Bigger stores and custom builds take longer, and we’ll tell you how long before we start.
What does “you own it” actually mean?
The domain is registered in your name, you get every login, and you can have the files whenever you want them. If you ever want to move to someone else, you can.
Shopify stores always live on Shopify, but the account and everything in it is yours.
How does the guarantee work?
You pay 50% to start, 25% when you approve the design and 25% when it’s finished, before it goes live. If you’re not happy with the finished site within 30 days of launch, tell us and we’ll refund both of those later payments. You get half the price back. The deposit covers the planning, design and build work already done.
Either way you keep your domain, your Google accounts and anything you supplied. Read the full terms.
My old web person has my logins. Can you sort it out?
Usually, yes. We’ll help you track down who owns your domain, get it back into your name and move your site across without breaking your email.
Do you work with Australian businesses too?
Yes. Part of our team is in Melbourne, and we build sites for businesses right across Australia. Our Australian site.
What if I want to leave?
You can, any time, with no exit fee. Your domain is already in your name, you get every login, and we send a full copy of your site. What we hand over.
Will my website be outsourced?
No. Bex and Heath design and build everything themselves, and you’ll deal with the same two people from the first call to launch day and after.
